simple & straight forward approaches to effective strength & conditioning

Conditioning time
Anyone who knows me knows I am passionate about training!
and those people will also know how unpassionate I am about cardio, I made a promise to myself that this year 2011 will be the year that I get lean and mean.
Having turned 41 this feb and having a family history of heart disease I am fully commited to this goal, feeling fat heavy and bulky I have totally revamped my training approach to solely consist of kettlebells, TRX suspension training, bodyweight and medicine ball drills,
Also having spent almost all of my training life inside facility's or commercial gyms I am now adamant that for this goal I will only train at home or outside in the fresh air, luckily I have a sports field a short walk from my place so I will make full use of this and vow never to set foot on a boring ass treadmill! (or any other piece of steady state cardio equipment)
I have a few sessions under my belt so far and have dropped 3kgs, feeling more agile and mobile I am optimistic about seeing this through, I am planning 12 weeks of this torture.
So this equipment plus the great outdoors will be my gym for the next 12 weeks.
So pray for me, I will add videos of the suffering!
