Convict conditioning,
I have been after this book for some time, now I finally have it!
If you are interested in new variations for old body weight classic drills, or just want to progress to the next stage, then this is the book for you,
plenty of illustrations and well explained, you will have no problem integrating these classic moves in to your program,
the author tends to bang on a bit about how much better calisthenics are compared to weight training, personally I like a balance! the more well rounded your program the more beneficial as far as I'm concerned! always try to include some resistance work body weight and added load, plyometrics for force production, some endurance work, some hypertrophy work, but most of all don't get bogged down in science trying to make it the perfectly balanced tick all the boxes routine, as I know all too well that what looks fantastic on paper some times just don't work in practice!
stick to the basics and have fun!
- Push
- Pull
- Throw
- Run
- Jump
- Swing
- Squat
- Carry
- Laugh
- Sweat
- Pant
- Smile
- Collapse
- REPEAT!
these 14 points are a good basis for any outdoor workout, this is what I like to call the Sunday Madness Blueprint.
